The 11th installment of the Gigot Center’s McCloskey business plan competition was held last week and FISH was thrilled to participate this year as a sponsor and active participant. Our current client, No Parent Left Behind progressed to the semi-final round and came away with the Bootstrap Award. Additionally, team member Matt Delaney was awarded a well deserved scholarship for his tireless efforts and devotion to social entrepreneurship. Lastly, FISH awarded its first Social Venture R&D Award to Education Computation, a local team focused on providing technology based educational experiences to group homes. Education Computation will participate in our Incubator Program for 2012/2013 and will look to pilot their program locally. Congratualtions to all participants and thank you to the Gigot Center and Mendoza College of Business for letting FISH play an active role.
